Swanhill 30/10 - 3/11 1998.
Swan Hill is an old city about 350 km north east of Melbourne. We had a mini holiday there on the Melbourne Cup weekend.

This is a restaurant build around to train carriages. The man who build it was an old railway man.
We had dinner her on Monday.
The main tourist attraction in the City is the Pioneer Settlement Museum.

We spent one day and two evenings there. In the evening they had a Light and Sound show and on our first evening the trip was aborted half way through because of engine failure.
Before we went to the museum we had a lunch trip on The Murray.

The Gem is a large steam paddle boat but the restoration is not finished yet.
